The programme highlights include:
- The Opening Ceremony on 8 October at 9 o’clock, during which the Freyssinet Medal(s) and Honorary Membership(s) will be bestowed
- Dr Andy DAVIDS’ lecture “The art and science of designing and building the tallest buildings in the world”, which will take place right after the Opening Ceremony
- Dr Stuart MATTHEWS’ special session on the fib Model Code 2020 at 11 o’clock on Monday 8 October
- The Welcome Reception on Monday evening at the Main Foyer 2 & 3 of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
- Prof Frank DEHN’s lecture “New insights into the durability properties of geopolymer concretes” on Tuesday morning
- Prof Koichi MAEKAWA’s lecture “Hygro-mechanics based design and performance assessment of structural concrete”
- The Congress Dinner on 9 October at the Rod Laver Arena, during which the fib Awards for Outstanding Concrete Structures awardees will be revealed
- Prof Campbell MIDDLETON’s “In quest of the holy grails of construction” on Wednesday morning
- Dr Michael THOMAS’ “Alkali-silica reaction: eighty years on” on Wednesday morning
- The fib AOS session, during which the AOS awardees will discuss the challenges they encountered while designing their structures
- The Country Sessions on Thursday morning, during which several delegations will present the latest achievements of the countries
- The Closing Ceremony on Thursday afternoon, during which the organisers of the next fib events will give you a sneak peek of the next Symposia and the Best Paper Presentation will be awarded by the Young Members Group of the fib
